KNOWING VS. DOING

To know and to do are two completely different animals. To know is to have something fixed or established in the mind or memorized. We have enough followers that know or have memorized scripture, actually we have non-followers that know and have memorized scripture. Therefore our power does not exist in merely what we know but our power exists in what we do with what we know. Please do not misunderstand, I am not attempting to minimize knowledge but I am striving to maximize action (doing). Knowing makes us responsible for doing, therefore if you seek knowledge, please be aware of the responsibility that accompanies knowledge, action.

What we DO in this life matters! Christ died in this life, for you to have an abundant LIFE on earth and beyond. He did not come and he did not die for you to merely have knowledge of who He was and what He did. No He came and He died so that we would GO and DO what He DID!

What did he do? Well most reading this already know; He healed, taught, loved, cared, rebuked, prayed, cried, suffered, and died. He did all of this outside the four walls of the church. However, that should not encourage us to refrain from meeting on a weekly basis in the confines of the church. That meeting is necessary to fuel our actions outside the walls. But it is just as important, that we as a church, corporately gather and go out into our communities and change the lives through the power of Christ. TAKE HIM WITH YOU AND APPLY HIM TO THE PEOPLE YOU ENCOUNTER!
